Please describe your craft:
Simply, woodcarving. Bringing to life from many kinds of wood object that are pleasing to look at, such as wildlife of all kinds and some items that have a functional value, such as a letter opener.
|
How did you get started in your craft?
A long held desire to carve that finally was realized at retirement. That's when a hobby became a job, if a rewarding one!
| ||||
|
What inspires your work?
Nature with all its many beautiful and symmetrical forms as created by God.
|
What would you like customers to know about you and your background?
A native Charlestonian, happily married to my best friend and only wife of 56 years, who successfully mothers five children and me! My work involved sales in the food industry, four years in the military and many miles of travelling. My Christian faith has upheld me at all times.

Please list any selling tips that might encourage a customer to purchase your craft (such as function, ease of care, cleaning, safety, etc.): My carvings are not painted, having only a clear finish so as not to cover the color and grain of the wood. An occasional dusting will keep them shining.
